Session includes: 1 hour session with Leah shooting a variety of poses. You can bring 3 different outfits and you will receive those in a gorgeous black leather, 5×7 album with 10 images you have picked.

Cost: $250 for the session plus sales tax. $100 due to hold your session. Balance due 1 week before.

Hair and Makeup: Professional hair and makeup is highly encouraged. Ramona can be booked for $100, due at session. See before and afters

Dates: 3 different dates with only 8 sessions open for each date.

This past Sunday I stepped FAR, FAR outside of my comfort zone and did a boudoir session. I made up this entire story to Matt about what I was doing that day (and felt SO guilty). For the most part as I was preparing, aka, out shopping the night before, I wasn’t nervous at all. In fact, I never had nerves hit me. In stead I was really proud of myself for doing this and putting myself out there. Yes, I would have loved to lose more weight, had my face clear up more, grew my hair longer, etc etc etc. The checklist of things to finish might never come and I didn’t want to regret not doing a session. I also know how much Matt adores me and he tells me everyday. He loves my chest, he loves my butt, my hair, my smile, everything. He was what got me through this session because I knew he would love them so much.

It has been awhile since I did a session, years in fact and I cannot wait to do another one! I am still feeling amazing and confident. I left with an entire new vision for my business too. Before this session I felt every women should do this but now I am 500% more passionate about spreading the word and making sure everyone experiences this. There really is no feeling like it. You are on a cloud all day….a very, very sexy cloud :p

I wasn’t going to share this until after the wedding because this is Matt’s wedding gift but I messed up and left the stuff in the car and he saw it. He asked why his doctor who scarf was in there and I had to come clean.

Wedding Chat: Losing your house

I have worked really hard during wedding planning to not have piles of decor take over our house. The secret? Don’t start buying until 2 months before the wedding! Here and there I would purchase small things like my shoes and earrings but for the most part I did not purchase things until late March. Then suddenly, before I knew it, our dining room was gone. I’m sure glad I don’t have time to cook and use my dining room table because it’s buried!

The worst part of the mess is it’s just that, a mess. Nothing is organized as you can tell by the images. I have linens thrown on top of more linens, alcohol scattered everywhere, nice cake stands poorly placed on a chair and boxes of STUFF. I keep telling myself, “tomorrow I will organize….TOMORROW!” Well, tomorrow is here and the wedding is 26 days away. I’m not entirely sure I will get this stuff organized. I am certain I will add to the pile though

Most know I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE detail shots. Every session I make sure to get a good amount so I can mix full body with the details. I also love a little anonymity in never being able to figure out the lady behind these pictures. These were some favorites from a recent session.

Boudoir Before and Afters

For the past couple years I have been working with one makeup and hair artist, Ramona D. Once I found her and worked with her on a couple sessions I knew there wasn’t anyone who could do the job better. Every single session I do in the Akron/Cleveland area where makeup is booked, is done by Ramona. I 100% believe in using someone who gets the job done, clients love and blows me away each and every time she is finished. Her job is an art just as I see my photography as an art.

I had a friend make the comment the other night that the before and afters really sell my job and after falling pretty far behind with doing before and afters, I knew I HAD to get them up asap! Over the weekend I had the pleasure of working with 2 amazing women and for a reason I really love doing boudoir. They both came in and did a session for THEM. Miss T came in yesterday for her session and we had such a great time working with her. Ramona did hair and makeup but this post will actually be anonymous BUT she looked fantastic! Here are some anonymous shots and as I told her during the session these definitely need to be framed in her house!

Wedding Chat: The photographer

With only 43 days until the wedding (thank you wedding countdown app) I am eagerly wrapping up a lot of projects that I have started and attempting to cross off those to-do’s. One very big task for Matt and I was finding a photographer. As a photographer it was definitely a bit of pressure and rather overwhelming.

Because we are having a more intimate wedding I really was looking for someone who would fit in as a friend and also someone outgoing and engaging. The person we hired would need to be OK with spending all day with my friends & family and be OK with that (yes, I know photographers get paid to do this but I know many who would rather be elsewhere unfortunately).

I went through lists and lists of those whose work I admire but I always came back to one person. A dear friend, Jennifer Williams out of Vancouver. I battled it out in my mind many times on if I wanted her to photograph our wedding. I absolutely adore her work and think it fits in perfectly with our wedding look but I wanted her to enjoy herself on our wedding. I had a hard time battling that out in my mind, weighing the pros and cons.

At the end of the day, I knew what kind of photography I wanted, I knew what kind of photographer I wanted and Jen fit all of that and more. I have worked besides Jen in weddings so I have seen her work first hand. I know she is the kind of person I want next to me all day with that dang shutter going off :p Plus, she might be the only person I’d trust enough to capture some awesome photography but also enjoy some champagne with me and my girls while getting ready…and many throughout the day!

Here are some of my favorites and the reason why it could only be Jen.

Amazing shots like this! Need I say more? When I saw this wedding it was around the time Matt and I were trying to find a wedding photographer. I really knew from this moment I just needed to follow my heart and get Jen’s butt to Ohio!

Oh, drama! I love these bridal portraits. Different than the normal but still so gorgeous.I had the privilege of shooting this wedding with Jen and girl rocked it! I am all about natural, real expressions. I have a feeling there will be many of these on wedding day.gotta love the details shots as well! besides the ceremony and portrait these are my favorite! I also will have plenty to capture.

And check out these two people Last year Matt and I visited Vancouver on our Portland/Seattle vacation and Jen took some amazing pictures for us. Already being in front of her camera I know this was already one of the best wedding decisions

Akron Bridal Boudoir, part one

part 1 of 3 (any many more after that!) Tyra came in to shoot with Ramona and I so we could do some more bridal boudoir looks. This one was more blushing bride, the next shoot will be all bridal and then we’re going to have a dark bridal theme. Sometimes it’s just really good to shoot a personal project and try some new things! I’ll definitely be incorporating a lot more bridal looks for the girls getting married Enjoy!
